Nice Try, Lu Laoshi

There is a letter in the Daily News today from Shuxin Zhao attacking Wal-Mart and the "small number of people who repeatedly write in support of Wal-Mart in Pullman."

That's interesting. The April 2006 Flash/Thompson Talk Alums' Newsletter reported, "Christopher Lupke recently received tenure and will be on sabbatical this coming year. He is finishing a book on the Taiwanese film director HOU Hsiao-hsien, among other things. Shuxin ZHAO Lupke also continues to help out with conversation sections in the Chinese program."

Christopher "Did You Ever Know That You're My Hero" Lupke, as you know, is PARD Media Coordinator and a frequent writer to both the Daily News and Evergreen.

Nice try, Lu Laoshi, but who are really the "small number of people who repeatedly write?" You must think we're pretty stupid to fall for your wife using her maiden name to hide her connection to you and PARD. Is that what you consider "ethical opposition?"

It is sad how the university communities are leaning to the left. Not displaying a "PARD", "No-Super-Wal-Mart", "Don't pave the Palouse", "Don't re-elect Bush" badge? Better be careful with the colleagues...

I don't understand for the life of me why some people wouldn't want a new business to come into the community. So what if its Wal-Mart... so what if its a strip club... a bar... a truck stop... If you are against it then just don't shop/go there.

We live in a free enterprise economy... Honestly.

That certainly isn't surprising.
