Palousitics Added to Blogroll at Huckabee Presidential Campaign Website

The honors keep coming in this week. Today, I was pleased to be notified that Palousitics had been added to the blogroll at MikeHuckabee.com, the official Mike Huckabee for President website.

Regular readers know that I have been a fan of Governor Huckabee's since I heard him speak at the Second Annual Wal-Mart Media Conference in Arkansas in April 2006. Huckabee is intelligent, charismatic, folksy, and funny. He's from the same hometown as Bill Clinton, and in many ways has Clinton's political charm and savvy, but with conservative values and morals. He has a great personal story, having lost 110 pounds after being diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2003. Huckabee has completed four marathons just two years later. He is now an advocate for healthy living, having written a book titled “Quit Digging Your Grave With A Knife and Fork.”

Huckabee's campaign has gained a lot of steam since an unexpected second place showing in the Iowa straw poll.

More importantly, he's a Southerner (just as I am) and the GOP HAS to carry the South intact, just the way Bush did in 2000 and 2004, to have any chance in 2008.

I have applied to do an interview with Governor Huckabee and hopefully will get a chance to do so in the near future.
