is a politically incorrect term.
Although the smart growth movement has many good ideas, it is not a replacement for sound basic economic growth or sound growth policies.
Supporters of smart growth do not agree on a common definition.
Smart growth is often a muddled concept in practice. Muddled concepts produce contradictory legislation and policies.
Thus smart growth often leads to no growth
