Recruiting Young Democrats

There's nothing like a good old satanic ritual to bring fresh blood into the tent.

Allegations that a local Democratic official and her husband were involved in satanic rituals that included shackling people to beds, caging them and depriving them of food and water have horrified county party leaders.

Joy Johnson, 30, a third vice-chairwoman of the Durham County Democratic Party and vice chairwoman of the Young Democrats, was charged Friday with two counts of aiding and abetting.

Her husband, Joseph Scott Craig, 25, was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree kidnapping and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon for an incident in January and another in May.

The two made an appearance in court Monday morning after spending the weekend in the Durham County jail.

The strangest thing about this story is that the party affiliation was mentioned. That usually only happens when a Republican is involved.

Update: Another Democrat busted!

Michael, lets try to understand these people and not hate them. It is alright to have different view of the world. You are just too bigoted to understand. Like prostitution this should not be crime. Republicans and bush are the cause of this arrest.......So how was my impression of typical liberals?

Adam -

More foaming at the mouth and use of expletives and slurs, particularly "white" and "shitbag."

Oh, and major in victim studies of some sort.

Holy shnikeys. What complete creeps, if true.

And actually, I am not sure what is creepier, the allegations of physical battery and rape, or the communication with spirit guides and past-life regression ...
