The myth of consensus seems to be experiencing some cracks, at least among the American Physical Society's 50,000 members. The skeptical scientists are rebelling after being summarily dismissed in the APS July Newsletter. The web site Watt's Up With That has a fascinating thread that is following the still evolving story. Let's hope open minds and free speech prevail. But there are the expected forces trying to shut down the dissent, not very different than what is experienced here at WSU.
