Remember when there was a "serial rapist" at WSU a year or more back, the WSU Po-Po held a conference, some of the young ladies asked about getting firearms, well Chief Wiggum of the Coug Po-Po pulled the old, "They'll only take it away and use it on you"... Even my wife, who has shot a few times with me replied "how can they (bad guy/gal) take it from you if shot them in the face?"
I agree it's pretty tough to take a gun off someone with holes in their hands if they grab for it.
