A question from the audience to the "Ask the Experts" panel stated, "Why does there not seem to be as much emphasis on water conservation and sustainable building practices in Pullman as there is in Moscow?"
To his credit, the first person to answer was Moscow City Councilman Aaron Ament, who correctly pointed out that Pullman has met its voluntary pumping goals every year since 1992. Moscow, on the other hand, exceeded its pumping goal every year until 2006.
