Pullman Biz Buzz

Some updates on Pullman business:

In addition to the 11-acre site adjacent to the proposed Wal-Mart site on Bishop Blvd. that will be the home of a a bigger Pullman Building Supply, we have more retail on the way. As most of you have seen, the old Penguin Electric and Plumbing building on North Grand is being dramatically renovated. It is being transformed into a "mini-mall," but the identity of the two future tenants is a closely held secret.

Despite these successes, attracting retail to Pullman remains a problem. The old Goodwill store in the heart of downtown is going to become a.......blood plasma center. And Safeway's dark store at the Wheatland Mall is being considered as a location for a call center.

The old Starbucks (next to Tam's) is now an RE/Max real estate office. This a new franchise for Pullman.

That makes sense. Re/Max is developing the Meadow Creek subdivision by the high school.
