Reward grows to more than $1,000 in Pullman assault that left woman beaten
Pullman police want to find two men who allegedly beat a woman on Northeast Colorado Street in Pullman on Feb. 25.
No one has come forward with information about the crime, despite a reward of more than $1,000 offered by residents outraged by the assault.
“Absolutely no information has come in,” said Police Operations Commander Chris Tennant.
The case has moved into inactive status until investigators have a lead.
The woman, a 28-year-old graduate student at Washington State University, allegedly was hit from behind by two men while walking outside about 9 p.m.
The Pullman police believe the assault was a planned attack by someone connected to a fraternity at WSU because of comments allegedly made by the men during the assault.
The alleged assailants are described as being white college-age men who were wearing white sweatshirts with white WSU lettering on the front.
Anyone with information stands to garner a reward of about $1,400, raised through private donations to the Catch The Cowards Fund.
The fund was started about a week after the crime by two friends of the victim. Residents can make donations to the fund at any branch of the Washington State Employees Credit Union.
Anyone with information about the assault can contact Officer Carl Bell at (509) 432-6835 or the Pullman Police Department at (509) 334-0802.

I have talked about this on the our radio show. Tom saw me go off on this. This subject hits close to home because the victim is a friend. I have given to the cause and I hope more people can donate.
I am telling you, next time any greek complains about negative coverage I will write a letter to the editor and remind the greek community why they have a bad image.
The unwillingness to come forward with information about a woman-beater is just more of the same from the greek system.
