BREAKING NEWS - Corridor Appeal Postponed

Source inform Palousitics that the Moscow City Council's appeal of Whitman County Planning Director Mark Bordsen's SEPA MDNS of the Hawkins Companies proposed shopping center on SR 270 has been postponed indefinitely until legal issues can be worked out.

The appeal was scheduled to be heard next Monday, April 10, at 10 AM, before the Whitman County commissioners in Colfax.

Congratulations to the Moscow Supreme Soviet. They've managed to stop the Wal-Mart Supercenter AND the Hawkins Companies shopping center dead in their tracks for now.

That's okay. Idaho money is accepted in Pullman.

I was at the Whitman County Commissioner meeting and can confirm that it's true.

Also true is that the law firm of Preston Gates and Ellis is representing Moscow. This is the same law firm that the City of Pullman has retained and Laura McAloon, Pullman City Attorney, is an associate of. The law firm that represents the City of Pullman and our Pullman interests is also serving the City of Moscow who is suing Whitman County, who is also county interest!

If that's not quite enough irony, Whitman County has retained Brian McGinn (PARD's former attorney) to "review" the Whitman County Rural Residencial Ordinance.

This is all at taxpayer expense. It's no wonder we struggle to grow, we are fighting ourselves!
