It was tough to keep from napping. Today was not nearly as entertaining as last week because the testimony today kept pretty much on subject, which is supposed to be about the SEPA and site plan. We had a few laughs, for example the PARD environmental expert was recalled. When she was challenged on her fecal chloriform testimony, she said she based it on her own personal research, which was that she had a few minutes to kill and so she Googled it and had 400,000 hits. She clicked on some of those links and found research pages. They looked legitimate to her so she used them. After all, if something is not legit, there wouldn't be so much information on the Internet, right? I kept thinking I was missing something, but no, that was it. If it gets enough hits on Google, it must be fact.
Heck, students think if it is on Google then it must be public property, true, and there is no requirement to cite it. Wonder where they learn this stuff? LOL
