Look, Up in the Sky!

"Now you blaze like a comet: a fearful omen, and a signal that evil will be released into the future."

- William Shakespeare, Henry IV

With the clear skies today, Palouse residents should be able get a good view of Comet McNaught, the brightest comet in 32 years.

Astronomers recommend looking just above the western horizon right before dark and getting to a high vantage point if possible.

Sunset in Pullman today is 4:22 PM and twilight ends at 4:57 PM. Dress warmly. Temperatures are expected to be around 9 degrees Fahrenheit at that time.

My boys and I went out a couple times to see it -- we didn't.

We'll need to find a higher point, I guess. The sky was certainly clear enough.

Best,
Dale
