BREAKING NEWS: Moscow Will Not Appeal Hawkins Development in Corridor

Palousitics has learned that neither Moscow Mayor Nancy Chaney nor Mark Solomon, the only two individuals with legal standing, filed an appeal of the Whitman County Planning Department's SEPA checklist approval of the Hawkins Companies proposed shopping center in the Pullman/Moscow Corridor by the 4:00 PM deadline today.

That's great news! Chaney must have felt all the heat and decided to back down. Or more likely, Moscow is ready to announce plans for a Home Depot behind the Palouse Mall (more on that later) and thought this would be a bad time to start a feud with Whitman County.

How refreshing. Something is actually moving forward.

You gotta pick your battles. She hasn't won many lately and the odds were against her.
