Calm Down Ted, Soylent Green Is Movie, Not People

Ted Turner was on Charlie Rose's PBS show the other night discussing not taking drastic action to correct global warming:
Not doing it will be catastrophic. We'll be eight degrees hotter in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.
Apparently Turner's been watching too many old sci-fi movies on Turner Classic Movies. Is it any wonder people can't take all the global warming hysteria seriously? Celebrity nitwits like Turner couldn't do more damage to the environmental movement if they were paid saboteurs for the oil industry.

Soylent Green is a great movie.
As for Ted Turner... I remember when I was a child, Turner put out an environmental cartoon called "Captain Planet". Basically the cartoon was about five kids, called "Planeteers" (Note: Planeteers = Pioneers a.k.a. Youth Communist League, Kosomol), from different races (Note: WSU-CES approved) who use their magic rings given from mother earth to create a being called "Captain Planet".
The theme of the cartoon was always something environmental like do not cut down trees, don't drive a car, etc... and at the end there was always an pro-environmental message like save the earth, recycle, spike trees, no nuclear power and capitalism is bad.
Now that I look back, the Planeteers were nothing but eco-terrorists. Also the Planeteers went around the planet stopping pollution which they show no regard to a nation's sovereign rights.

Pave the planet!

"Statement as of 1:16 am PDT on April 02, 2008... New record low temperature past 24-hours at Wenatchee, WA...

The low temperature at Wenatchee Airport in the past 24 hours
was 26 degrees. This sets the record for the lowest temperature
for this date. The previous record of 29 degrees was set in 1981.
Records have been kept at this site since 1959."

Now go to wunderground and look up the forecast and you'll see:

Near record low temperatures tonight... That would be for most of this area, not just Pullman

In the 20's tonight, not the usual mid 30's...

Eight degrees warmer would put us back to average temperatures.
