Quote of the Day

Our region should declare its independence...We are held back because our state and federal government still believe our economies are driven by wheat farms and timber logging
- Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels stating his belief that the Puget Sound should secede from Washington State.

I think it's a hell of an idea. Is there a petition I can sign?

Hasta la vista - baby! It's rare that Greg Nickels and I agree on anything. In fact, I this makes one time. Years ago I suggested that we excrete Seattle and merge it with France. But now that France has a decent president, I think that Venezuela would be a better choice.
This reminds me of all the petitions I signed back when I lived in California that proposed to divide the state in half, north and south. Although, I would have preferred to divide the state along the San Adreas fault, which would have gotten rid of San Francisco too.

Let the dumbass form his own state or nation. Guess what? The price of electricity going into the People's republic of Seattle is now $0.30 per kilowatt-hour (Washington electricity generation export tax). Let's see them try to meet their power needs with solar! Muhawawaawawaw!

Yeah, France wouldn't fly with that, they love nuclear power.. while most from Seattle detest Nuclear power..

Hey, lets build some reactors around here on the Snake!

Eastern Washington would be all for it. Let's just see how much electricity is generated from salmon.
