Change? How About Changing This Ad?

I hardly ever watch network TV anymore. But I do love "Lost." As I was watching last night's episode, I saw Barack Obama's Washington State caucus 30-second ad on KXLY out of Spokane.

Towards the end of the ad, you hear Obama stating:
And I'll be a President who ends this war in Iraq and finally bring our troops home.
On the screen, we see first Obama with a soldier, then a homecoming scene. In that homcoming scene, (at about 0:26), notice the solider is wearing the 6-Color Desert Battle Dress Uniform, informally known as the "chocolate chip." That particular uniform was phased out around 1994. This means that the scene was probably shot during 1991 after Gulf War I. If anything demonstrates the Obama crowd's lack of military knowledge, this is it.

I'd like to see our troops come home too, but I would prefer it to be after they had finished the job like in Desert Storm versus some arbtitary deadline set by George Soros and MoveOn.org.

Look at the bright side Tom. At least it's a US uniform. I'm sure you remember the Moveon.org ads that had British uniforms, or the time time when the MSM fell for a Special Forces Cody action figure. This is a real step up for the left.

I think that unintentionally makes Obama's point:

The troops haven't been brought home yet - in 100 years under McCain's "plan" - so Obama had to use file-footage.

But do keep trying...

By the way, how does your McPain soup taste?

So Obama's point is that he quits before the job is done?

What? 1991 is when Obama graduated from Harvord, he wasn't even a senator, why would he be in Iraq? He was just a community organizer and civil rights attorney back then. Looks like your knowledge of military uniforms is a little rusty, or completely non-existent.

A quick google search will reveal that Obama visited Iraq with other senators on January 8th, 2006. That picture was probably taken then.

Ok, Tao:

1. It's "Harvard"
2. If Obama was not a senator in 1991, he could have been in Iraq; maybe he could have been there because he actually would be willing to risk it all for this country?
3. Tom and many of us here know the uniforms of that time because we were wearing them (i.e. shut up, kid)
4. The point was that Obama's campaign is using old footage that does not reflect the modern U.S. military

You're an idiot.

"If Obama was not a senator in 1991, he could have been in Iraq"

-Really? Are you being sarcastic? Don't you need serious U.S. military authorization for that? As an average American citizen, don't you think it would be a little tough to get into Iraq during wartime?

"maybe he could have been there because he actually would be willing to risk it all for this country?"

-What are you saying here? I read this and thought you were implying that Obama was in the military, but I don't think you could make such a stupid mistake. Are you failing horribly at being sarcastic again?

"Tom and many of us here know the uniforms of that time because we were wearing them"

-Good for you tool you want a cookie or something? So as a member of a certain branch of the military, that automatically makes Tom and you experts on all U.S. military uniforms? Even if you knew all the uniforms by heart, which I doubt you did, that still doesn't mean either of you know jack about uniforms CURRENTLY being worn in Iraq.

"The point was that Obama's campaign is using old footage"

And MY POINT proved Tom...and now you wrong. Find me a link showing evidence of when Obama was in Iraq during the gulf war. I can save you time though, he never was.

Just admit that Tom posted misinformation.

PROTIP: Double check sources to make sure your assumption/conspiracy theory is actually possible!
