OG: Original Gator

Alligator mississippiensis - the old school reptile from 65 million years ago; a survivor of the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM), a period that would make our current "global warming" look like a damp birthday candle.

This (6'5") Texas Fish & Game Officer ain't worried about being eaten by some wimpy Burmese Python.

This nice size gator was shot by Game Warden Joe Goff, 6'5" tall [walking behind],when he refused to come along peacefully.

He was in the backyard of Anita and Charlie Rogers home near Palestine, Texas.

Texas sized gator was in excess of 23 feet.

Because of global warming, I expect to find critters like this in Sunnyside pond soon.
