Fred Thompson Drops Out of Race

As you can see on the front page of his website, or probably many other places on the web, TV, radio, etc. Fred Thompson has dropped out of the race for U.S. President. This is a sad day for me.

Fred was my number one choice, a great man, a man with more than just a vision. Fred had real solutions and policies rather than just words. He was the only true Conservative running for the Republican party, and it just too bad that he came in the race too late and never really gained the needed momentum to get the American people to recognize him as the right candidate for the Republican party.

I just wanted to thank him and let people know that today we saw a great American, great Republican, and a real Conservative drop his bid for President.

This is disappointing for sure! I was upset he wasn't getting the press that I thought he should as a true conservative.

Fred would certainly have been my choice. He is the only all around Reagan conservative. He just could never get the ball rolling. Maybe his late start strategy is to blame -- but maybe not if one of those 'moderate' Repubs tag him for VP (which I think is likely)

I really really really really really really really really really really hope that happens...

(I did not copy/paste that, I typed each one of the "really"'s because I mean it.)
