Even though all seems quiet on the Wal-Mart front, there is quite a bit of activity going on. The proposed findings and conclusions drafted by both Wal-Mart and the Pullman Alliance for Responsible Development are due to the Hearing Examiner this Friday, August 4. Following this date, the Hearing Examiner will have until September 15 to use these proposed findings and conclusions to issue a revised decision. Although the Hearing Examiner is not required to use these findings, he will likely incorporate parts of both Wal-Mart's and PARD’s latest drafts to support his decision. However, the decision denying PARD’s appeals cannot be changed.
Again, the new hearing date is October 18, 2006 in Whitman County Superior Court.
