Local Democrats Fielding Some Heavyweight Candidates

You have to feel sorry for our local Democratic candidates. Our Pullman liberal blowhards are too chicken to put their money where their mouth is, so the Rats are forced to rely on fresh-faced kids to serve as cannon fodder in our Republican stronghold.

For example, Caitlin Ross, the Democratic candidate for 9th District State Representative, Position 1, is 22 years old and just graduated from Gonzaga this spring. She aims to fill the shoes of longtime respected GOP Representative Don Cox.

According to the August 24 issue of the Whitman County Gazette:
She [Ross] isn't entirely new to the legislative process, she noted. She served as a legislative page in eighth grade and grew up watching C-SPAN.
Oh, brother. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Watching C-SPAN is a qualification for representing us in Olympia? My eighth-grader wants to be a legislative page this year. I guess she can run for Governor in a few years.

I appreciate Ross' efforts in being involved, but I think the Democrats owe us, the voters, some more serious candidates.
