What Else Is This Delay Costing Us?

Not just tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees and 3/4 of a million dollars in lost tax revenue.

Highly reliable sources inform me that a new tenant for the vacant, blighted Safeway building was to be announced after the hearing found in Wal-Mart's favor.

Now, we won't know until at least October.

Tell the "heroes" of PARD how much you appreciate them.

I heard Pullman Honda was expanding in to that building! :) That would be kick ass... and indoor test area and stuff.

Seriously though, I am sure PARD would have fought them on the grounds that they are not a good fit for Pullman.

It is so sad that they (PARD) can't understand all of the reporets / studies that Tom has dug up that Wal-Mart is good for a town/city. Then if you are to slow to read and understand, you could go and just look at the way Wal-Mart brings things to life when it moves into a site. The Wal-Mart in North Spokane is a great example. Almost all of the buildings that had been closed are now open and ready to provide a service to a waiting people.

Pullman Honda would like to expand into something like the Safeway store. However, Pullman's lack of retail draw and new, higher interest rates have that idea on indefinite hold.

I'm sure there are other business ideas that are now in a similar limbo or will locate in another town with more opportunities. This is the unseen cost of PARD's appeal.

Does Moscow have a Honda Dealer? If not you should move there, April. It is no fair to Moscow for Pullman to steal their tax dollars!!!

Scotty, but haven't you heard? Moscow doesn't have enough water for new businesses.
