"Proposed Pullman Wal-Mart Supercenter Dealt Another Blow"

Nate Kuester once told us during an interview that he didn't like Wal-Mart because it "ruined" his home town, where ever that is.

You can sure tell by this "fair and balanced" story by Kuester on the KLEW-TV website:

PULLMAN - A Whitman County judge hands the proposed Pullman Wal-Mart Supercenter a setback Thursday.

Superior Judge David Frazier is not making a decision on an appeal filed by the Pullman Alliance for Responsible Development (PARD).

Instead, Frazier remanded the case back to the hearing examiner for an extended period of time, in which the examiner will recast his findings for the court to consider.

PARD Attorney David Bricklin said Frazier indicated that traffic and financial impacts of the proposed big box retail store along with public testimony will be the main focus of the examiners' renewed scrutiny.

After the findings are presented to the court again, Frazier may consider or deny the appeal at that time.

PARD Media Liaison Christopher Lupke said the decision is, "great news for PARD and the anti-Wal-Mart forces." He said he believes the judge is taking the appeal quite seriously and establishing that the matter isn't a simple open and shut case.

Frazier set a date for October 18th to continue with the process of the appeal hearing.
How is this "another" blow? Wal-Mart has won every round previously. And this is not a blow, just a long delay. The media feeding frenzy has begun.

I noticed the dateline was Pullman, not Colfax. It doesn't appear that Nate was at the hearing himself and simply reported what PARD told him.
