According to today's Daily News, the Latah County Planning Commission decided to scrap the controversial lighting and junk laws to avoid creating further turmoil and division. What a great move on the commission's part.
Now, if only the Whitman County Commission could be persuaded to ditch the similar misbegotten changes to the agricultural zoning ordinance. As it is, according the the Whitman County Gazette, the proposed changes continue to languish, with the $5,000 legal review by PARD's former attorney not expected to be complete until July.
