Time for a Positive Message About Pullman

From April Coggins, Pullman's Biggest Booster.

It's time to focus on Pullman's future. We have eight multi-million dollar projects in progress or scheduled to start soon. They are:

Palouse Ridge Golf Course

CUB Renovation

Widening of SR 270

Wal-Mart Supercenter

Pullman-Moscow Corridor Shopping Center

Martin Stadium Renovation

Schweitzer Engineering Labs New Corporate Headquarters and Event Center

Life Sciences Building - REC2

This doesn't include the hundreds of new homes and small businesses that are being built. Pullman is growing! And to paraphrase Martha Stewart, "That's a good thing."

April,

Great post! Excellent research! Awesome Pictures!

I wish Moscow could brag like this.

Then again, we're "shooing" most of our money your way.

Enjoy it.

In my humble opinion, we should be welcoming people who are willing to invest in Pullman. Whether they stop by Jin's Mart for a stick of gum or are a multi-million dollar corporation or are a family who moves here to get away from the big city, we should be saying, "Welcome to Pullman. Thanks for coming here. I think you will like it!"

Nice job April - You should forward this info to the Daily News to see if they would put together a combo article like this. Too often, the growth pieces comes at different times and the every day Joe on the street loses track of the positive things that are happening.

Unfortunately, they would likely turn it into a PARD propaganda piece, feeling the need to interview them to get a "balanced" report.

Thanks for the compliments but Tom deserves most of the credit. Thanks Tom for pulling it all together! Pullman does have good times ahead, regardless of the struggle to get there.
