The Moscow Planning & Zoning Commission drank the whole cup of hemlock and just denied the rezone request to "motor business" made by CLC Associates on behalf of Wal-Mart.
Without knowing more details, it would seem that a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Moscow is "gone with the wind", at least for tonight. If the liberals continue to have their way and amend the Comprehensive Plan March 22, Moscow will have no new stores of any kind.
The economic impact on Pullman and Whitman County of this decision is going to be huge! To paraphrase Carroll Hayden, the trucks and the bucks will soon all be stopping here.
