In other council business, a motion was approved to spend money to research appealing the final decision of Whitman County Planner Mark Bordsen regarding the State Environmental Policy Act checklist for a proposed retail development just west of Moscow in the Pullman-Moscow Corridor. The deadline to appeal is March 17, which is prior to the City Council’s next scheduled meeting.Of course, it’s highly unlikely that a government in another state has any legal standing to appeal. Heck, I’m sure Lewiston would like to appeal as well, given how much business they stand to lose from the development in the corridor
