Letter to the USSR

In 1953 the Moscow, Idaho City Council sent a letter to Moscow, USSR. They requested Moscow, USSR change their name as it was an embarassment to Moscow, Idaho to share their name with a Communist Socialist city. Moscow, Idaho viewed themselves as stalwarts of patriotism and the Great American Way.

Oddly enough in 2006 everything may be coming full circle. Moscow, Idaho City Council no longer says the Pledge of Allegiance to open their meetings. This is the same city that won't allow Wal-Mart to open a Supercenter, because it doesn't support what appears to be their socialist agenda. Moscow, Russia is attempting to embrace capitalism. Do you think Moscow, Idaho will be receiving a letter soon?
