“It’s a little surprising to find out that the brain volume on this thing indicates that maybe the New and Old World monkeys, their common ancestor had a prosimian-, or lower-primate-like brain like Aegyptopithecus does,” Simons said.

You forgot that the sub-species no longer has a spine but has increased its capacity to spit venom at everything and anyone. This is a cousin of the Luna Microchiroptera Liberalus or commonly known as the North American Barking Moonbat.
