They Asked For It, They Got It

If you remember, the Summer Evergreen editors were whining Monday that they had not gotten any Wal-Mart letters in months. Well, they got one that ran in today's edition. I'm not sure it fits with their ignorant, politically correct world view, but here it is:
Wal-Mart would help with fair pricing around town

Editor:

Pullman needs to move past the 1950s and become part of the 21st century. A Wal-Mart Supercenter would be a big plus for our town. Safeway and Dissmores would not be able to continue to charge the horrific prices they do for groceries if they had to compete with Wal-Mart. They (Safeway and Dissmores) have been gouging the students and residents for years. When I moved here five years ago I was appalled at the prices these stores charged for groceries. Wal-Mart would force them to price more fairly.
