For starters, (Moscow city COuncilman) Bob (Stout) confirmed that he had indeed recently purchased a Chrysler PT Cruiser in Spokane.
...
Back to the issue at hand, Bob said when he got ready to buy a car, he shopped around for the best deal.
“You’ve got to do that when you’re a working family with three kids,” he said. “I saved well over $1,000 by buying the Cruiser in Spokane.”
Bob works as a Web content specialist at the University of Idaho, and his wife, Sara Stout, is an academic adviser there.
“I fully support local businesses, but on high-ticket items it is necessary to make the best financial decisions for my working family", he said.
The irony of course if that Stout was one of three councilmen to vote against the Thompson rezone in Moscow, thus denying thousands of working families in Moscow and Latah County the ability to make the best financial decision by shopping at a Wal-Mart Supercenter. I hope his putrid hyposcrisy is not lost on voters next election.
