I-901 Pros & Cons

Well I want to say right up front that I am NOT a smoker, I hate the smell of smoke from cigarettes but I don’t mind a small amount of smoke from a cigar. So with that said I find this initiative very offensive. You say "WHAT you should be for this". I think that when you start getting government involved with telling people what they can do, or have done in their own businesses is not good for a free people. If someone doesn’t like smoke they should not go to that place of business. For example I love to play pool and could go to some bars to play pool but due to the smoke they have in those places I don’t go; plain and simple as that. So it is back to the fact that we need LESS government not more so I say NO on I-901.

I have to agree. I am not a smoker. But I do like to drink pop. Well, that's bad for you also. It cause obesity and diabetes. Why will they stop at cigarettes? Soon, every vice and bad habit will be outlawed. I don't want to live in a "nanny state" (or I should say a WORSE nanny state than we have now.)

"First they came for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left
to speak up for me."
