This Is Going To Be A Shame

Included among WSU Provost Robert Bates' proposal to trim back "nonessential" courses by 20% yesterday, according to the Lewiston Tribune, was a recommendation to combine the Departments of American Studies, Comparative Ethnic Studies and Women's Studies into a single unit.

Apparently, when President Elson Floyd say WSU "cannot be all things to all people," he is referring to certain WSU faculty members being bullies, racists, and left-wing agitators on the taxpayer's dime.

Combining these departments into a single unit certainly will streamline things. After all, why have three separate degree programs when they all belong together under "Whining Studies"?

How about Propaganda Studies or B.S. Studies (and I don't mean Bachelor of Science).
From the descriptions and stories I have heard of these classes, it sounds like the Cadres straight out of Mao's Cultural Revolution.
