What's Wrong with Some Folks in Pullman and Moscow?

The same thing as some in Walla Walla, I suppose: Growthophobia.

I don't get it. If you have a place worth living in, other people are going to want to live there too. Growth is a compliment, not a cancer. If you don't like growth, the answer is simple. Live in a place so hell-holish, no one else will want to live there.

Do those people opposing growth realize how elitist, selfish and downright HATEFUL it is to try and keep other people from enjoying what they already have?

Yup, they have their little piece of heaven and they feel no need to share with new people. They want to shut the door of opportunity directly behind themselves. Anyone who wants to come after is told to keep on traveling, this town is closed. It's an ugly trait of the selfish.
