All joking aside, I have given Michael Barbaro a tough time lately, but I give him full credit for recently writing a story in the New York Times about how in many cases Wal-Mart/Sam's Club is often a Mom-and-Pop store's ally when it comes to meeting basic needs (Free Registration Required) That's something many who run a small business will tell you.
