A lot of people were out trying to beat the bushes to find candidates for the position, then suddenly there are three!April E. There were two reasons.
One is that I like Devon and thought he would be a good Councilman. The other is that I lost my companion of 25+ years when she died May 31st. At filing time in June I wasn't nearly ready to comtemplate a race for Council.
Now, it's half a year later, I'm coping with things and saw an opportunity to serve the city.
I do pay close attention and believe I could do a good job on the Council.Dave Gibneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01544090591129290145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13796804.post-36565899187141974762008-02-06T21:04:00.000-08:002008-02-06T21:04:00.000-08:00Dave, this is not personal, but I have been wonder...Dave, this is not personal, but I have been wondering why the position went uncontested and then after Devon Felsted stepped down, there was the sudden interest. It's odd. Why didn't you file to contest Devon?April E. I think I might have made the same choice if I was on the Council and choosing.
I was interviewed second, so I'm waiting to watch her interview tommorrow during the rebroadcast.
I think the Council made a good and difficult choice. I appreciate the opportunity I had to apply. I'm not leaving town and sometimes it's more fun from the floor than the dais :)Dave Gibneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01544090591129290145noreply@blogger.com
